Greetings

Having been involved with the Sister Cities progam of San Jose, California for only eight years, we feel like neophytes. But during those years, we have made many new friends in the area and in Okayama, Japan. For that reason, we have decided to have this web site to honor that relationship and to provide a place for the members of the Okayama Committee to get recent information.

Although we report some of the news of Pacific Neighbors, this is not a Pacific Neighbors website. Rather it is dedicated to the efforts of the many local people to share our friendships and our skills. We welcome related stories and communications. Previously Kazuko served as the Chair of the Okayama committee. During that time we had some exciting activities and exchanges. As we near the 50th anniversary of the Okayama to San Jose Relationship, we are trying hard to keep up that energy. Earlier this year, Kazuko again became the committee chair. She has been encouraging us all to increase our numbers and to reach out to the sister city to create meaningful interactions.
